I’ve become numb and almost accustomed to violence. Growing up I lived in Minneapolis, my neighborhood annually became more and more violent, until one summer the city was nicknamed “Murder-apolis.”
Under-resourced urban communities face a variety of challenges. Violence as the primary way to solve conflict, abandoned buildings where businesses used to be, crime and homelessness just to name a few.
When Christ walked the earth he had the ability to look at people and see something beyond the labels of society.
The world is broken and upside-down. It’s time to die to self, so Christ can use you to turn the world right-side up.
