Early this year, I asked my prayer team to pray that one of my students, Jaslene, would place her faith in Jesus as her Lord. The good news is, she has prayed to receive Jesus and has been saved!
It all started last year when one of my students was clearly upset and could not focus on his schoolwork. I invited him back to talk with me and within minutes he was sitting in an old yellow chair behind my desk sobbing.
Over the past few years, I have had the privilege of watching one young boy change before my eyes.
Roberto* entered my classroom with a reputation that preceded him. Others told me what a "handful" this child is and some of his bad habits and stories from his previous school.
Recently, at Newark Christian School, we celebrated Geography Day, with each group of students representing different cultures.
