Eight years ago, when I was still working in the “Opportunity Program” at Los Angeles Christian School (LACS), a pull-out program where students with learning differences were taken out of class to work on reading and/or math, I started working with a student named Beth.
Do you remember those golden middle school years when everything was easy and fun? Yeah, me neither.
This is my tenth year of teaching fourth grade at LACS (Los Angeles Christian School), and I am continually amazed at how each new school year brings unique blessings and challenges.
Moving to Newark brought a whole new level to prayer while walking. God gave me a wonderful prayer partner who faithfully walks with me as we pray for each other and the ministry in Newark.
It is too easy to get lost in the busyness of the season and to forget the real meaning of Christmas. It is the celebration of Jesus’ birth and the reason why He came to earth as a man to die for the sins of mankind.
