2 Timothy 2:2 tells us, “The things you heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” It is encouraging to sit back and watch God’s work in the lives of the faithful men He has raised up. Several of the church-plant pastors in our association joined together to do a community outreach in Fresno.
Pastor Carlos, a graduate of The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI), hosted the event on the street in front of his house. They provided a great meal along with worship music, testimonies and an excellent evangelistic message. About 20 people stood at the invitation to accept Jesus into their lives. Pastor Alfredo, also a student of TUMI –along with his two sons – hosted a prayer tent at the event, and I observed many praying together, even with tears.
Pray for Pastor Carlos and his wife Michelle as they continue to work hard to reach their neighbors and host a house church they have named Manchester Community Church. Pastor Alfredo and his wife Salina hold a service at our World Impact Center as well as a house church at Salina’s parents’ home. Pray that God will meet their financial needs and prosper their ministries.
