Rich is an ordained minister and graduate of Westmont College (CA) and has served as an urban missionary with World Impact since 1986. Rich began ministry with World Impact in Wichita, KS. His years in Wichita were filled with conducting Bible clubs for children and teens, helping run a single men’s home and assisting in church planting. He and Karin were married in 1998 and continued with Bible clubs and church planting until they moved to Chester, PA.
While in Chester, Rich lead a janitorial/maintenance work program, helped with teen clubs, helped plant Refuge in Christ Church, which is a store front church, and served as the interim director for a year.
In 1998, Rich and Karin moved to Dallas where they continued to be involved in church planting. During these years, they started Blessed Hope Community Church along with running tutoring clubs out of their house.
2002 found Rich and Karin moving to the World Impact ministry in San Diego to start The Urban Ministry Institute of San Diego (TUMISD). Since that time, they have seen hundreds of leaders trained up to serve Christ in the city. Rich is currently serving as the city director, TUMISD site coordinator and mentor and is a TUMI field representative.
Rich and Karin have three children: Justin, Karris and Josiah.
