Urban Church Planting
Transforming Urban Neighborhoods
In the mid ‘90s, World Impact made a commitment to plant churches among the urban poor. The Church is the transformative power of Christ in the community. By planting more healthy urban churches, neighborhoods will be empowered to transform in visible ways. World Impact strives to plant as many churches as possible among diverse urban cultures.
Just as each city is unique, so is each Church – the size, language, and worship styles may vary based on location, but Christ is at the center. We plant three expressions of the Church, the House Church (20-50 members), the Community Church (50-150 members) and the Hub Church (200+ members). We plant through partnerships with like-minded indigenous urban leaders, church planters, denominations, and World Impact missionaries.
