This Thanksgiving season, I am grateful to God that I’ve finally accepted the reality that we’re not going back to normal. From 2017-2019 I led our “World Impact 2.0” project.
A better way comes in the form of ethical poverty work where our mindset shifts from rescue to advocacy towards empowerment.
Regardless of the type of poverty work being done, I am convinced that most people drawn to it have a moral compass that points them to believing it is the right thing to do.
During tough economic times, the poor suffer more than others. While the wealthy go on unphased, those of middle, low, or virtually no income bear greater misery.
As we fulfill our civic duty to vote, let’s be conscious to not lose our faith over our politics.
