Annette’s Retreat Testimony

My pastor, Hope Flask, invited me to take TUMI classes in Wichita. Then Tina, the women's retreat director, came to the class and she invited all the ladies in the class to attend the retreat last year. At that retreat, I realized I was still feeling shame from my past that I didn’t realize I was holding onto. Being unashamed has been powerful for me all this past year, to be who I truly am. God has told me that I am a confident woman, a worthy woman. I do matter! I have a purpose for his Kingdom. I have not always believed those things about myself and He’s used retreat to remind me how He sees me.

Recently, God has been speaking to me about being prepared for the enemy because we never know when he will attack. This year's retreat reinforced that. I keep thinking about living righteously, living out the life God has called me to live and not just read the Word, but truly live it out. It is so empowering to see His redemption power from this retreat. To see all the stories and the testimonies is empowering! He has touched so many lives and it is amazing to see.

From FIERCE I will take back that I need to keep going, never quit! You have to keep fighting the good fight of faith. Don’t stop. Stay rooted in the Word. Sometimes it is hard to stay in the Word, but it is encouraging to know that we have to stay rooted no matter what or when the Enemy comes to attack, he will use it to his advantage.

I would invite women to come for the great fellowship and to really learn. You will learn! You won’t regret it! It is powerful to be able to leave the day-to-day behind and be with my friends, my sisters. There is space and freedom to release and have time for yourself here.
