Colon August Prayer Letter

Greetings Friends and Family in the Lord,

This amazing school year has come to an end. The last few days of school at Newark Christian School (NCS) were filled with laughter, tears, and lots of hugs from students. We feel so honored to have been able to teach every student that we encountered and directly minister to God’s precious children. The Lord has done incredible things this year and we couldn’t have asked for a better first year of teaching. From the students to the parents to the staff, everyone we have met has been a blessing and a reminder that God’s love supersedes all things. We ask that you continue to pray for the students and their families that they will continue to seek the Lord and grow in their love for Him over the summer time.

During the last week of school, Solmary decided to take her class to the Liberty Science Center. Many of them have never gone before and truly had a wonderful time exploring! They loved the new exhibits and of course, the touch tunnel! Giving students the opportunity to experience something they have never experienced before was one of the things that we have tried to do throughout the whole year. This trip was even more special because it would be the last trip that Mr. Larson, our Vice Principal, would be chaperoning due to retirement. The Larsons have been a great blessing to us since the moment we joined World Impact. They opened their home to us and made our transition here extremely welcoming and smooth. We thank God for them and their service to God’s kingdom. Please pray God’s favor and blessing over them as they transition into this new phase in their lives.

We are truly amazed at God’s faithfulness throughout this school year. Although there were challenges that we had to face, God allowed us to navigate those waters with ease. We are not only proud to be teachers at NCS, but we are privileged to have been given the opportunity to serve our urban community in this capacity. Thank you for your consistent support. We hope you will join us in prayer as we continue to adapt, adjust, and improve to provide an excellent environment for our children to grow in!

Blessings, The Colons
