Since coming back to St. Louis, we have met many great leaders and pastors in the city. I want to tell you about Pastor Rob who pastors a church in South City St. Louis. A fellow staff member from the East Coast connected us, and I had coffee with him this past November. After meeting him only one time, Pastor Rob showed up to help unload our moving truck—this was no small or easy task. Since then we have had coffee several times and our family visited his church. I also spoke at his monthly men’s breakfast and travelled to Nashville for a two-day conference where he connected me with the leaders of his association that meet annually.
Finding the right leaders to partner with is really what it is all about. It is through these urban partners that the Kingdom will advance! Pastor Rob is very excited and committed to planting churches in the city and has shown incredible generosity and openness toward us. We look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for our growing partnership with Pastor Rob. He is just one of many people who we hope to develop relationships with and effectively equip and empower for local urban ministry.
We love being back in St. Louis and it is exciting to see what God is doing already in such a short time. Thank you for helping us with your prayers and financial giving. The Lord continues to be so good to us and we are looking forward to seeing just what He does in and through us. God is at work in the city and we are excited about the harvest we are seeing.
