Francisco December Prayer Letter

Dear family and friends,

I hope that you each had a special Thanksgiving this year. While reflecting over Thanksgiving break I remembered you all and expressed to those at the table how grateful I am for your support and prayers. Your prayers encourage me and in turn encourage my students.

The month of November was a busy one at LACS! We had a Fall Festival that some of our school parents put together, parent-teacher conferences, a field trip, and Thanksgiving break.

Our first third grade field trip of this year was to the California Science Center. We are fortunate enough to be walking distance from this museum that houses a NASA space shuttle. The kids enjoyed the walk to the museum, especially when we cut through the University of Southern California’s campus. I overheard students discussing that they would one day go to school there. Once at the Science Center the kids loved the interactive exhibits that taught them all about earthquakes, space exploration, and saving our Earth.

Megan, our student teacher, has been taking a lot of the teaching time over the last few weeks. The students love her and she has given me the time to work with smaller groups of students who need additional support. We will be sad to have her leave this month.

Over the next couple of weeks, please pray for the upcoming Christmas season. Christmas can be a difficult time of year for many of our families, but our Christmas Store gives parents the opportunity to purchase donated toys at a very affordable price. We hope that this makes Christmas a memorable time for our families rather than a stressful one.

You can also pray for me as I fly to Virginia to meet my nephew for the first time over New Years. Pray for safe travels and a memorable time with my brother and his growing family.

I pray you have an incredible Christmas season surrounded by family and friends.

God Bless You,

Mindy Francisco
