Holy Humanity

As the year winds to a close, we wanted to take a look back on the many ways in which God has been at work here and around the world.

TUMI now has over 300 sites across the globe including Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, Columbia, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, Romania, Ukraine, Spain, India, Papua New Guinea, and the U.S. (domestic and prison sites). Each of these sites is equipping leaders in the church with formal theological training.

Thirty of our sites have held graduations this year culminating a four-year program to complete the Capstone certificate in Christian Leadership Studies. The impact of this is immense.

Another exciting development has been the launch of a new TUMI resource, The Bible Blossom Storybook: The Unfolding Story of God. Bible Blossom was created to equip believers to tell the story of God in Jesus Christ. It is a visual Bible for the millions of believers whose cultures are oral and story oriented.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Christmas is a time to marinate in the Incarnation. God with us. The Word became flesh—and was born in a stable. The Word became flesh; the Word wore clothes and got dirty and hungry and ate dinner. The Word walked with us in humanity. Glorious, holy humanity.

And we behold His glory. In the hundreds of pastors and mentors who labor to teach, to equip, to train and to encourage—we see the glory of God as the Word goes forth into places we couldn’t reach, touching lives we couldn’t touch. God is at work—never doubt it!

Richmond, a Ugandan pastor, said, “When you have trained a pastor, you have trained a church. When you’ve trained a church, you have trained a community.” And so we seek Him, with you, for His glory. Have a blessed Christmas.
