Prayer Requests from our Ukrainian Friends

I lift up my eyes to the mountains — where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2

As war descends on Ukraine, our ministry friends and partners in Eastern Europe need your prayers and continued support. Even as pastors, church leaders, families, and children are either in hiding or attempting to leave the conflict zone, they are standing firm in the faith by turning their eyes to the one who provides real help. Here is how you can pray:

  • Our friend, a Ukrainian pastor near the Russian border, is staying with nearly 100 church members in their church building. Ukrainian civilians in the region have been armed with automatic weapons to fight the invasion. Pray for continued protection over this church, wisdom in the face of violence, and that the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard their hearts and minds.

  • Our Trauma Healing ministry partner in Belarus is separated from her husband who was out of the country when the war started. Pray that she will be used by God to bring Trauma Healing to the many people who are experiencing greater trauma than ever before. Pray that her family will in God’s timing be reunited and if needed, know when to leave the country for a safer place.

  • In the words of our Trauma Healing ministry partner on the Russian side of the Ukrainian border, “To be honest there is fear, panic, discouragement and no good scenarios for tomorrow. But at the same time, we are thinking and planning how we can continue serving at this very moment, meeting the needs of vulnerable people. We can see how the church is rising and getting ready to react accordingly to share the Word.” Please pray for our Trauma Healing ministry partners across Ukraine and Russia, for opportunities to serve and share the Word, and for the war to end.

Your prayers and continued funding of ministry programs like Trauma Healing share the hope of the Gospel with hurting people in places like Ukraine, Belarus, and around the world.
