Three Leaders

Recently we celebrated our seventh graduation of The Urban Ministry Institute of San Diego. What a celebration is was! Nine graduated and we had over 80 in attendance which is our largest graduation yet. I want to share with you highlights for three of the graduates.

Greg has been a close valuable friend and partner in ministry from just about the first day we met. Greg has gone from homelessness to planting a church, A Place of Hope, among the homeless in downtown San Diego. He and Pastor Lamont went through our Evangel School of Urban Church Planting and started this church about two years ago.

Ezequiel is one of those students who went straight through TUMI without missing a day or skipping a quarter and pretty much got straight A’s. He is a quiet and strong leader. Two words that I would use to describe Ezequiel are integrous and wise. These are two qualities that any church greatly needs. He is a leader at one of our partnering churches, Inner City Christian Fellowship.

George has been my right-hand man in facilitating TUMI over at City Heights Assembly of God. Whether making announcements, recruiting students, or unlocking doors, George always answers the call. He is the ideal leader that any church needs to keep moving forward. He is a servant who knows the Word.

As you pray for us this month, please pray for:

  • Each of these graduates
  • Continued growth for TUMI
  • More leaders to be equipped to reach our cities with the Gospel
