Train the Trainers

The God moment came while we were launching and advertising our Church-Based Seminary Site (TUMI) in St. Louis on social media. We named it Pursue Bible College. A dear friend of mine from an evangelistic outreach in the Democratic Republic of Congo saw it and reached out, “We need that here in Bukavo, can you help us?”

He shared with me, “We have thousands coming to the Gospel, but the leaders need to be equipped. Many of the leaders can’t afford to travel to traditional schools and they only speak their native language can you help us?”

I knew we could!

So we launched the Kingdom Momentum Africa Project. Since our project launch, others have come alongside to help us birth this vision by either working or funding the project. Our team has completed the French translation of the “Bible Interpretation” course, in the middle of a global pandemic. We are going to be translating Sacred Roots by Dr. Davis, the course “God the Holy Spirit,” and we are going to keep pushing through until all 16 courses and study materials are completed.

Before this partnership, I was not aware of a systematic approach of instruction truly focused on the urban poor in the area of protecting the sacred roots of the Gospel. This academic process also eliminated the challenges of cost that one would experience when attempting to attend one of the traditional seminaries or colleges and it is reproduceable!

Once travel restrictions lift, we will travel to the city of Bukavu, to establish the school. Then we can train the trainers and equip them to lead their community for Christ!
