Senior Vice President, Religious Missionary Order & Director, Member Care
Lisa and her husband, Andy, have been missionaries with World Impact since 1986. Lisa grew up in a rural area near Wichita, Kansas. She attended Tabor College and it was there that she met Andy—they later married in June of 1982. She graduated from Tabor in 1985 with a degree in social work. In 1986, Andy and Lisa received the call to minister with World Impact. They served their first six years in Wichita helping to establish "Celebration Church" and also worked with hundreds of youth and teens.
In 1992, they transferred to Los Angeles where they began a new ministry on Raymond Street to work with youth and adults. In 1996, they transferred back to Wichita to continue their church planting ministry.
Lisa served on the Member Care team with Andy, giving personnel and pastoral oversight to World Impact staff around the country. Together, Lisa and Andy have made regular pastoral visits to the East and West Coast and meet regularly with our Midwest staff as well. Lisa has a heart for training and investing in indigenous leaders and our missionary staff.
In 2015, Lisa accepted the position of Senior Vice President for the Religious Missionary Order (RMO) and Team Care. In this role, Lisa provides care, shepherding, and accountability for the RMO and its missionaries.
Lisa and Andy enjoy their role as parents and now grandparents. Jackson, Justus, Mark Andrew and Kate are great additions to their growing family, which will increase by a baby boy in February 2016. Their oldest daughter, Tina is a missionary with World Impact, married to Daren Busenitz who is the Executive Director of Ministry for the Midwest Region. Their daughter Dana is a school teacher in Wichita and Nick, her husband, is a medical technologist. Their son Scott is training to be a fireman following his service in the Marine Corps and is married to Joetta Ewert, a school teacher in Wichita. Their youngest son, Luke, is pursuing his college degree.
