Rev. Andrew Medlen
Rev. Andrew Medlen
City Director | St. Louis, MO
Andrew first experienced ministry in the city during a summer internship with World Impact St. Louis during college. After that summer he knew God had laid this mission field on his heart. Following his graduation in 2001, with a degree in Family Ministry from Manhattan Christian College, he immediately returned to North St. Louis to serve with World Impact. During his first 11 years in St. Louis Andrew served as the Youth Pastor at Bridge of Hope Community Church (a World Impact church plant), discipled young men, helped to run many children’s and youth programs, and worked with countless families in his community. He also facilitated a Men’s Basketball Outreach and Bible Study and served in many other various roles. In 2012 he and his wife, Adria Medlen, relocated to Wichita, Kansas, and he served as the SIAFU Coordinator for The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI) of World Impact and provided support for the TUMI team and the satellite locations.
In 2013 the Medlens transitioned to the World Impact Wichita ministry where Andrew continued to support SIAFU efforts in the Midwest, as well as coached and encouraged urban church planters in the Wichita Urban Church Association. He also found a passion for prison ministry, as he and a ministry partner mentored two inmates in Hutchison Correctional Facility to launch two Christ the Victor churches inside the prison. For six months in 2015 the Medlens also served part-time in Topeka, Kansas, where they supported the launch of World Impact Topeka and trained several Christ the Victor Church pastors.
Andrew and his wife Adria returned to St. Louis in January of 2017 as Co-Directors of the World Impact St. Louis ministry re-launch. They are passionate about equipping urban leaders with the purpose of seeing urban churches planted in St. Louis and beyond.
