My personal vision for World Impact is to impact 100 million people in urban poverty with the gospel through empowering urban leaders.
Unfortunately, violence over racial issues in our country is nothing new. Ironically in August of 2015, I was in Ferguson meeting with pastors about racial reconciliation. Here’s an excerpt from my book Bridging The Diversity Gap which I hope will bless you after this weekend’s traumatic events.
I can still remember seeing the news footage of white truck driver, Reginald Denny being pulled from his semi-trailer and beaten by a group of African American men in the street at Florence and Normandie in Los Angeles.

In times of crises, the church has served as a place of respite. There are many stories throughout history of the church serving as a sanctuary for the lost, impoverished, broken, convicted or oppressed.
