Estrada June Prayer Letter

Dear Family and Friends,

As we move into summer, I am reminded to keep up with the momentum from our 2017 SIAFU Women’s Retreat. This year we had ten urban leaders join us in planning and facilitating the retreat. In all, we had sixteen churches represented and for that we are so grateful. Women could breathe again at this retreat. It was like seeing Olympic runners get their second wind. These women live and serve in hard places and need their souls refreshed and encouraged. We had a beautiful time together. The theme was “Unashamed. My Story, God’s Glory.” Pictured are all the women that attended this year.

We sat down with each other to share and listen to powerful stories of courage and faith. We worshipped together and learned from God’s Word about women of courage and faith. We are planning more time together over the summer to continue to disciple and empower these women to be change agents in their communities.

It is important for them to continue to hear this message of living unashamed of their past but to use it to share Christ’s love and redemption. As we move forward in planning more empowerment gatherings please keep us in your prayers. God is moving in the urban community and I believe the best is yet to come!

We appreciate and are grateful for your continued prayerful and financial partnership that enables us to provide retreats like this to empower urban women, through the Holy Spirit, to expand God’s Kingdom into every community and neighborhood by joining with our fellow sisters as we fight the battle and share the love of Christ with all.

For His Glory in the City,

Shaun Estrada
