The Newark Thrift Store is about people. Customers come from our neighborhood and share their lives – their stories, hardships and joys – with us. It is all about seeing people, loving people and blessing people. A church asked me to put together a short video of what customers thought about our store and here are some excerpts from the clips:
“I have been shopping here for over five years. I really enjoyed it. I come here the prices are wonderful, cheap prices, good prices and good fellowship with you and the staff. Praise God, I love the spiritual music I hear when I come in. It is truly a blessing. Frank, you know that I make donations to the store and you have been very good to me because I collect scrap metal and you save me all your metals. I Praise God for this shop, knowing you and I praise God for the fellowship of all the people I have met here.”
“Fabulous, I can find things here and it is nice and clean. For me… it is like a blessing from the Lord. I call this store my Macy’s. Everything is clean, beautiful and so adorable and I thank you for all the love here. I enjoy helping other customers find things they are looking for.”
“I have been coming to the store for two years. The store means a lot to me. You feel part of the family they treat you very well and you don’t want to go home.”
