Acts of Faithfulness
God uses so many different people and situations to impact our cities for his Kingdom! I was reminded of this recently when we attended the open house of a new satellite location of The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI).
When we relaunched our ministry in St. Louis I reconnected with a teacher at a Bible School I had attended during college. He introduced us to his son Matthew who lives and works in St. Louis. God’s timing made this a powerful connection. Matthew ministers to refugees and immigrants and they were feeling the need for more resources to equip leaders in their community. And, we were praying for ministry partners working within immigrant communities!
They loved the Fight the good Fight of Faith (FTGF) discipleship curriculum and started a class with men in the Celebrate Recovery group at their church. From this class a desire was birthed to go deeper and to launch a TUMI satellite.
They also saw the vision for FTGF in their ministry in Bosnia and to the Bosnian immigrants here in our city and are partnering with World Impact to translate the course into Bosnian! People will now have a resource to disciple new believers in a new language and new urban leaders and missionaries will be trained through their TUMI satellite!
There is no act of faithfulness, no matter how big or small, that God cannot use to make a difference. It might be through an invaluable connection, through hands-on service, through prayer, or through financial giving. Thank you for being faithful to our ministry and for being a part of God’s amazing plans to win the city for himself.
