Christ is Come

There is a modern Christmas song that has begun to play in my head, the melody soft and the words powerful:

Christ is come, let all creation sing
God's own Son, oh hail the newborn King
The Word made flesh, now dwells among us
Christ is come, Christ is come.

What a joy to sing and raise my voice to these words, Christ is come. The beauty about my life with World Impact is I get to proclaim that daily, at work, in my neighborhood, at the church plant I help at, and in my home—Christ is come!

The beauty that Christ is come is not isolated to this time of year; it should be embraced daily. Every day with renewed hope and joy we should rest in the truth that the Word made flesh, now dwells among us. Even when life is not kind, and chaos seems to reign, those who trust in the newborn King know that He is who reigns, and He is our hope.

As this song now plays on my Spotify Christmas playlist, I sing along, I join Big Daddy Weave and sing, Christ is come, Christ is come. This season of Advent join me in this carol and continue to sing when life is tough, when things seem out of order, when Christmas is over and the nativity is packed away, God’s own Son, oh hail the newborn King.
