Christmas in the Country 2015

The Morning Star Ranch staff is decking the halls and getting in the Christmas spirit! We have invited the Wichita Christ The Victor (CTV) Churches to share in a celebration of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 13 at the second annual Christmas in the Country sponsored by Morning Star Ranch and World Impact. This year’s theme is taken from James 1:17 which says that “every good gift comes from above.” Join us in prayer as we rejoice in the ultimate gift of salvation!

During this special season, we want to establish Christmas in the Country traditions with our CTV church family. Arriving guests will be treated to warm, fresh popcorn and hot chocolate served in the coffee lounge. After enjoying fellowship, CTV families have the opportunity to create their own tree ornament to take home and enjoy for years.

A photographer will be capturing each family in a beautiful portrait given to them the following day. Families can marvel at the beauty of God’s creation as they meander through the camp on a hayrack ride!

New to Christmas in the Country this year will be group games! Connections and bonds can be made between families as they participate in action-packed group challenges! After dinner, guests will sing Christmas carols and hear the story of Christ’s birth shared from God’s word. Each child will leave Christmas in the Country with a treat bag and each family will receive a simple gift.

Christmas in the Country is a time to experience the profound gift of love that God gave us when He sent His son Jesus Christ to be born of a virgin and become the Savior of the World! At Morning Star Ranch we are passionate about providing an avenue for the church to experience the incredible love of Christ!

Thomas S. Monson said it perfectly when he commented, “As we seek Christ, as we find Him, as we follow Him we shall have Christmas spirit, not for one fleeting day each year, but as a companion always.” Our prayer for the church is to experience the joy of this special season and Christ’s love and companionship at Christmas in the Country and throughout the New Year!
