Entz February Prayer Letter

Dear Friends and Family,

If you are from Wichita and hear of someone living around the South Broadway area, certain images come to mind. South Broadway is a rough and transient area in our city. It is not an area that typically produces feel-good stories.

James and Cheryl manage a motel on South Broadway (even fewer feel-good stories start this way). But James and Cheryl love the Lord. They have a heart for reaching people for Christ and helping those in need, both at the motel and the homeless in their surrounding area. They attend Lighthouse Community Church, a church that we had the joy and privilege of helping to plant a number of years ago. In addition to managing the motel, they serve the people at the motel with clothing, food, and basic need essentials. They desire to raise up strong disciples for the Lord and connect them with Lighthouse Church.

On Christmas Day, James and Cheryl used their funds and donations to host a dinner for people at the motel and the surrounding area. One of our supporting churches donated hats, mittens, scarves, and gloves that we were able to give to James and Cheryl to hand out to families in need. James and Cheryl presented the Christmas Story from God’s Word so that everyone would know the true reason we celebrate Christmas – the birth of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is the heart of James and Cheryl to expand their ministry from the motel and to reach as many people for Christ as possible in areas where hope is often lost. Please join us in praying for James and Cheryl as partners in the gospel of Jesus Christ – that many more would come to know and walk with Christ through their ministry.

Thanks as always for your prayers and support!
