The Lord continues to lead and open up doors for ministry in St. Louis in areas that are obviously ripe for the harvest. Roger has been involved with World Impact St. Louis for many years. He has run one of our local TUMI (The Urban Ministry Institute) sites for the past few years.
Roger has been faithful to the people the Lord has given him, producing a TUMI graduate this past year, and gathering together a group of Spanish-speaking pastors for encouragement.
Recently we had the opportunity, with Roger translating, to speak to this group of 12 pastors. We shared the vision of World Impact and how our desire was to equip them even more in the call that they have. Through a generous donor we were able to give each pastor our discipleship curriculum translated in Spanish. This meant a great deal to each of them.
Later Roger shared that one of the pastors is very interested in starting a TUMI site and another pastor is going to take his church through the discipleship material. Roger has been faithfully meeting with these pastors for a while and now he can assist and mentor them on an even greater level as we work to resource them in the ways they need to train leaders and disciple new believers in their context. We look forward to seeing what the Lord will do through this mighty group of believers!
