Serving One God

We recently held our 8th annual Wichita Women’s Retreat at Morning Star Ranch. We had 160 women in attendance from several of our urban churches in Wichita. As always, God did a mighty work in the hearts of the women. We had wonderful weather (it was supposed to rain, but didn't!), good food, amazing teaching and times of worship and a powerful evening of testimonies.

Here are some of the comments from the women who attended:

  • “I am so grateful for the opportunity to bond with my sisters. I am learning to fellowship and love my neighbor.”
  • “I loved being surrounded with God-seeking, loving women. We all have a passion for Christ and we all have a past. This retreat made me think of bettering myself even more. The atmosphere is awesome. Good job Morning Star Ranch!”
  • “Between the people of God, the testimonies and the Word (as well as the amazing worship), I will never be the same. The seeds that have been planted in us all is amazing. We got to meet many of our Sisters in Christ with all different colors and cultures but all serving one God.”

After the retreat, I had two women leaders approach me about starting their own retreat! One of the women lives in Topeka and she and her husband pastor an urban church. The other woman lives in Kansas City and her husband is also a pastor and does prison ministry. Both women want to keep connected to our large retreat by using the same theme and curriculum that World Impact develops. We are humbled and awed at how God is growing this movement of urban leadership retreats! Imagine how many more women will be impacted by the gospel through these additional retreats!

Thank you for your continued prayer and support. We couldn’t do this without you!
