Urgent Ministry

It is a privilege to Sol and I to share with you all some of our most exciting and successful events of our ministry. In the month of March, after a lot of preparation and communication with some pastors of different denominations from Colombia and South America, our TUMI (The Urban Ministry Institute) supervisor and I made a trip to Colombia. After a great response in two different towns, we began our TUMI journey with two responsible pastors. There is an eagerness to start training and educating leaders to continue spreading the great news of our Lord. In November we met with the pastors again to begin three TUMI satellites. This is an amazing opportunity our Lord has opened for us to continue spreading his work.

Our TUMI Ministry in Cuba continues to grow. Three of their first TUMI graduates went back to their country of Haiti and two to Equatorial Guinea to bring the same training to their churches. In December a member of the Hope Community Church in Wichita, Kansas, and I visited Cuba to take TUMI materials and meet with all our TUMI satellites. After that, we will make plans for the next TUMI graduation.

I continue teaching and training TUMI students in Dallas. My main ministry and goal is to graduate as many students as possible, since people from all over the world continue to settle here in the United States, and the need of ministry is great. In August one of my disciples who I led to the Lord, baptized, and officiated his marriage, came to visit with his family from Louisiana. He asked me to please bring TUMI to his church in Baton Rouge! We plan to visit soon and are excited to see TUMI spreading from the original class.

Recently I was invited by one of my first TUMI graduates to California. He is now the pastor of our former church in Glendora, California, and he asked me to bring a message and participate in church conferences. I was impressed and blessed to see his desire of teaching TUMI. He has a large class and will be graduating two students early this year.

In September Sol and I were invited by Norm Miller to a conference in Colorado. Several pastors and church leaders gathered to share their ideas and vision on how to train leaders to continue bringing the good news of salvation faster than traditional seminary. It was a great conference and a confirmation of the urgent need to continue training leaders and workers to do the work of our Lord in a faster and more economical manner. We were blessed to share that that is exactly the mission of TUMI.

Finally, Sol and I have a great blessing to share with you all. After many years of us pastoring Iglesia del Maestro and months of prayer and seeking the Lord’s wisdom, we are in the process of transitioning pastorship to two TUMI graduates who have been great leaders of the church. Please keep the church and our families in your prayers as we all embark on new journeys.
