Maximizing Potential

July is our month of gratitude!

About two years ago I transitioned from youth ministry to facilities management here at the Christian Transformation Center in Newark, NJ. Our leadership felt that the Lord wanted us to fully utilize our facilities to their maximum potential for God’s glory. In order to achieve this we wanted to partner with ministries who needed space for conferences and other types of meetings. One group came to us with a desire to use our 400-seat auditorium to put on Christian performances, and they have conducted three plays so far. Another church came to us because they wanted to host an open gym and youth outreach for the teens in our community. They meet three times a week for basketball and at the same time their coaches give council and take the opportunity to speak into the lives of the teens who attend.

Another partnership that is developing is with the Youth Advocacy Program (YAP) of New Jersey. YAP sends us teen workers who are in the process of re-entry from the juvenile justice system. These young men are in need of a job and YAP pays them to work for us! Most of them are not believers, so we have ample opportunity to share Christ with them and show them the love of Jesus. One guy stayed with us for about two months and during this time he went from being completely shut off to the Gospel to being open and interested in God. He didn’t make a decision to follow Christ yet, but he was made aware of how much God loves him through the love shown to him by our staff.

All of us at the World Impact Christian Transformation Center are grateful for the prayers and financial support that you, our donors, provide us on a regular basis. Your donations provide a place of ministry for Newark Christian School, the Community Transformation Church, The Urban Ministry Institute classes and church plant school and our many ministry partners. We could not do this without you! Thank you for all that you do.
